Neale Cooper will make a late decision on the fitness of Neil Austin for Saturday's League One game against Leyton Orient at The Matchroom Stadium (3pm kick-off).

The defender missed Tuesday night's defeat at Notts County with a calf injury after failing a late fitness test but is hoping to be back available at the weekend.

Cooper has also confirmed that Paul Murray will start at Orient after impressing as a second half substitute in midweek, and the Pools boss could opt to make other changes for the trip to the capital.

Orient boss Russell Slade is without Scott Cuthbert who is struggling with a hamstring problem ahead of the weekend game.

However, he is hoping for more positive news on striker Kevin Lisbie who is looking to shake off his hamstring injury in time to feature against Pools.
